8 Best Anti Virus

  1. Never download email attachments from anyone unless I'm expecting one. Normally not lose much, either. The family of Aunt Marge images were never interesting anyway.

  2. I'm always careful before clicking on links in emails from places such as Amazon, PayPal, Ebay and I'm not waiting. If I am very curious about an email, just search the topic on Google and I am able to determine if a security threat or not.

  3. I use Firefox as my primary web browser. Internet Explorer has too many security holes. Although it has security holes in Firefox, they are not exploited security holes as IE, and generally are much faster patched.

  4. realize when my computer is acting unusual. If you use your computer frequently, you should know when you open the hard drive and what applications they give a high CPU usage. If you notice anything unusual, I always check my Task Manager for any unusual processes.

  5. Know what processes usually run on your PC (press CTRL + ALT + DEL and click to see the processes). No need to memorize, but to be familiar with them. If you suspect that your computer is infected with a virus or adware, usually one or two process in task manager that are not familiar. If you ever doubt about what is a process, a search in Google to find out more about it.

  6. If you are downloading things that cause the RIAA to disrupt, do not use P2P clients like Limewire, WinMX, Grokster, Kazaa o. By using bittorrent, be sure to read a stream of comments before discharge to ensure that there is no virus in it. If you absolutely must stay with the P2P clients like Limewire, have a second computer (it can be anything, even something of ten years) to download the files. Scan files for viruses before your main computer.

  7. If you have to download something that you think might contain a virus, always scan the file with an antivirus before opening.

  8. Do not become paranoid. The threat of viruses and malware is taken too seriously by many. While everyone should take precautions against the virus, there is no need to be a "virusphobe"
